First day climbing? No panic!

Everyone can climb, even without any experience

Here’s what to expect from your first day in Hang On Lanzarote Climbing Centre. If you have any questions or doubts, read on: we’re sure you’ll find all the answers you’re looking for.

Online registration form

Before entering our centre and start climbing, you have to fill in our registration form.
You can either use the QR codes available at the gym, or you could save time and complete the form online right now. The choice is yours!

Equipment rental

We have a large selection of climbing equipment at Hang On Lanzarote: shoes for adults and children, harnesses, ropes, helmets, GriGris and so on. You can rent everything you need at a small price, but you’re also welcome to bring your own equipment to train with us.

Please note that our gear is meant to be used only indoors. We do not rent it for outdoors use.

No experience? No panic!

We know that climbing for the first time could be quite intimidating, especially if you have no clue about what to do. That’s why there’s always an experienced monitor in the hall, in order to help you and give you some tips and tricks to begin with. You could also book up for one of our classes or courses, including one to one sessions.

Please note that anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times by an adult.

Lead climbing in our gym

In order to lead climb or top roping in our gym, you must first pass a safety test with one of our qualified monitors. Their opinion is crucial: in case they consider you’re not fit to manage the equipment, you won’t be allowed to lead climb or top roping – you can always use our autobelays.

Please note that our ropes, GriGris and helmets are for rent. Have a look at their prices here
